Vanguard Global Infrastructure Index ETF

Vanguard Investments Australia

Vanguard has launched a new global exchange traded fund - the Vanguard Global Infrastructure Index ETF - which invests in infrastructure securities listed in developed countries.

The ETF seeks to track the FTSE Developed Core Infrastructure Index (with net dividends reinvested) in Australian dollars (before taking into account fees, expenses and tax). It invests in around 146 listed infrastructure companies in industries such as transportation, energy and communications.

"Increasingly, we see Australian investors looking to add international diversification to their portfolios, and these ETFs offer broad international exposure while at the same time providing greater ability to manage a portfolio's allocation to specific asset classes," Robin Bowerman, head of corporate affairs, said.

It has a management fee of 0.47 per cent and will make distributions quarterly.
