ETFS Physical Silver rated 'Recommended' by Lonsec

ETF Securities' physical silver exchange traded commodity - ETFS Physical Silver (ASX code: ETPMAG) - has received a rating of 'Recommended' from research house Lonsec.

Lonsec cited the manager's resources and experience in managing commodity-based funds, along with the fund's ability to provide "a cost-efficient and transparent exposure to physical silver", as reasons for the decision.

"Further, this is the only fund on the ASX that currently offers exposure to silver," Lonsec said.

The ETC is backed by physical allocated silver held by the custodian JP Morgan.

"Only metal that conforms with the London Bullion Market Association's (LBMA) rules for Good Delivery can be accepted by the custodian. Each physical bar is segregated, individually identified and allocated," ETF Securities Australia CEO Kris Walesby said.
