Ausbil Active Sustainable Equity Fund

Ausbil Investment Management

Ausbil has launched the Ausbil Active Sustainable Equity Fund, which will invest in 30 to 45 companies (primarily from the S&P/ASX 200 Index) that have a relatively good sustainable profile.

The fund will also avoid companies that are vulnerable to long-term earnings risk from sustainability weaknesses.

Environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors continue to be an important part of Ausbil's overall investment process, which is designed to add value throughout the market cycle.

"Rather than focusing only on growth or value investing, our investment process allows us to exploit the inefficiencies across the entire market, at all stages on the cycle and in all market conditions," chief investment officer and head of equities, Paul Xiradis, said.

"We spend a lot of time with companies to identify earnings that are sustainable over time and we actively engage with management to ensure that they are committed to their ESG responsibilities", Ausbil head of ESG Research, Mans Carlsson-Sweeny, added.

The fund has a management fee of 1 per cent and the minimum initial investment is $20,000. The fund is also available on the ASX's mFund platform.
