Global equity firm Aristotle Capital Management LLC (Aristotle), has launched its global equity fund to Australian institutional investors via an agreement with distributor Plus Capital

"We are excited to offer our strategies more widely to the Australian institutional marketplace," said Gregory Padilla, CFA, principal, co-portfolio manager, and senior global research analyst at Aristotle.

Aristotle's investment approach involves concentrating on high quality companies with attractive valuations that possess compelling catalysts for growth. The manager takes a high-conviction approach in building a focused portfolio of approximately 50 companies.

The global equity fund is managed by chief executive officer and chief investment officer, Howard Gleicher, and Padilla.

Strategy description

*Fundamental, bottom-up stock selection process applied to a universe of companies with market cap typically in excess of $2 billion at initial investment.

* Focused (45-55 positions) strategy characteried by high active share and low turnover.

* Portfolio utilises both American Depository Receipts (ADRs) and foreign ordinary shares.

* The objective is to achieve attractive long-term returns versus the benchmark (MSCI World Index (Net)) with a focus on mitigating risk over a complete market cycle.

Aristotle will market a suite of its offerings to Australian investors, with initial efforts focused on the Global Equity Strategy.
