Willis Towers Watson appoints former Westpac exec

Willis Towers Watson, a global advisory, broking and solutions firm, has announced the appointment of Jamie Jeffers as divisional director - financial solutions, effective February 2018.

In this new Sydney-based role, Jeffers reports to Stuart Ashworth, managing director, financial solutions, Asia Pacific, who is based in Singapore.

Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson, Jeffers worked for the Westpac Group for more than 10 years. Most recently he was sector head of insurance relationships, Financial Institutions for the Westpac Institutional Bank.

Commenting on Jeffers' appointment at Willis Towers Watson, Ashworth said: "Jamie has significant experience working with Australian lenders, and understands how the insurance market can interact with, and complement their distribution strategy. Leveraging our global expertise, Jamie will provide guidance and assistance to both international and domestic clients in Australia, allowing those clients to understand and access insurance capacity and capital."
