Gilbert + Tobin Lawyers partner Janet Whiting has been appointed to the board of Hostplus as an independent director.
Whiting is one of several appointments, including Tapborp chief David Attenborough and former Federal Minister Craig Laundy.
Whiting is the head of Gilbert + Tobin's disputes and investigations practice in Melbourne and has extensive experience in corporate and regulatory law. She is currently the president of the Council of Trustees of the National Gallery of Victoria. She previously spent more than 20 years in a variety of roles with Corrs Chambers Westgarth including litigation group leader and partner.
She joins the Hostplus board effective 1 July.
