Westoz adds Head of Distribution to team

Westoz Funds Management (WFM), a Perth-based manager that focuses on listed equities with a connection to Western Australia, has announced the appointment of Tim Banfield as head of distribution.

In his new role, Banfield will oversee marketing and business development for the firm.

Banfield began his career in 2001 with OM Strategic Investments in Sydney which was acquired by London listed investment manager Man Group Plc. During a 10 year stint at Man Investments Australia, he served as the firm's head of retail marketing and as a director. Since returning to Perth, he has held business development roles with Packer & Co and, more recently, with NWQ Capital Management as managing director, distribution.

He is joined at WFM by fellow new recruit, Jaime Underdown, who has been appointed as chief operating officer.

Following these appointments, current executive director, Philip Rees, will move to a non-executive role, though will retain his seat on WFM's investment committee.
