Warakirri creates research relationship role

Warakirri Asset Management has appointed business development manager, Tim Lang, to the newly created role of research relationships manager. Lang will work with research houses to manage the ratings across Warakirri's range of investment funds.

Lang, who was appointed following both an external and internal search, will also be tasked with engaging platform and dealer group researchers to have Warakirri's funds included in their model and implemented portfolios. He will become responsible for managing the firm's institutional asset consultant relationships.

"Research houses and investment consultants play an important role in our industry and across our client base. With Tim's in-depth portfolio construction knowledge and his strong ability to articulate our fund managers' investment process and philosophies, he'll play a significant role in building and managing these vital relationships," Warakirri head of distribution, Stuart Devlin, said.

Lang has been with Warakirri since 2012 when he joined the operations team and is also a member of Warakirri's Investment Committee.

Warakirri is currently looking to fill his previous role as well as add an additional resource to the distribution team covering NSW and Queensland.
