LOCAL AUTHORITIES SUPERANNUATION FUND
Date: July 2021
Position: Chair

Lisa Darmanin has been promoted to chair of industry fund Vision Super.

Darmanin has been a member director of the organisation, nominated by the Australian Services Union - Victorian and Tasmanian Authorities & Services Branch, since 2018, serving as deputy chair during that time.

She replaces Geoff Lake, who is stepping down as chair at the end of his three-year term. Said Lake, "Lisa could not be more passionate and committed to serving Vision Super's members. She brings a wealth of leadership experience to the role, and I look forward to seeing Vision Super continuing to achieve great things under her direction."

Darmanin is Vision Super's first female chair. "My career has been focused on supporting works, and particularly women, when it comes to their workplace right," said Darmanin. "Vision Super has a long history as a fund that also supports workers through their working lives as they save for retirement to achieve the best possible outcomes - and the majority of those members are women.

"I could not be more delighted to be leading a Fund that shares my commitment to improving outcomes for working women and men - I know everyone on the Board, the executive team and our very capable staff shares that passion and commitment," said Darmanin.

Darmanin has a long history working with the ASU, being first elected as ASU assistant branch secretary in 2007. She started working as an organiser in 2000. She's also spent time in the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet working on gender equality and family violence prevention issues.
