Vanguard changes local leadership team

Vanguard Australia on Tuesday revealed a string of changes to its leadership team that will see the firm's investment chief and head of fixed income return to the US.

Duncan Burns will succeed Daniel Reyes as the new head of investments, Asia Pacific with a transition of roles expected to be complete by mid-December.

Reyes, who has served as head of investments and head of the investment strategy group for Asia Pacific since 2017, will relocate to Vanguard's headquarters in Pennsylvania to take up the role of global head of investment product.

In other changes, senior economist Alexis Gray will head up the regional investment strategy group, and Vanguard's head of fixed income for the region, Geoff Parrish, will return to the US to run global bond indexing later this month.

Parrish will be replaced by Jean Bauler, who joins Vanguard from HSBC, most recently as the director of markets treasury in Australia.

Lastly, senior investment strategist Aidan Geysen will move into a new role as investment governance senior specialist in Vanguard Super's trustee office.
