Vale Kevin Cottrill

AMIST Super, the industry super fund for the meat industry, has announced that its chair, Kevin Cottrill, has passed away unexpectedly.

Cottrill served as an employer elected representative on the fund's board for 22 years, 21 of which as chair.

A statement from the fund said: "Kevin was an incredible advocate for our members, guiding the Board through all the changes that occur in such a span of time, such as management changes, regulatory changes and investment market conditions. With the stability he provided to the Board, he never lost his passion to ensure AMIST Super's efforts were always about members, and ensuring the focus was on their retirement outcomes. Our thoughts are with his wife Ann at this very sad time."
