UBS economist joins Jarden

Jarden has added another UBS staffer to its expanding Australian operations. Carlos Cacho, currently a global market economist with UBS, will become Jarden Australia's chief economist early next year.

Cacho has been with UBS for just over three years. He started his career with an internship at Colonial First State GAM and later moved into an analyst role. During this time, he advised investment staff and clients on a broad range of asset classes to ensure a strong understanding of the impacts of current and future macroeconomic trends.

A familiar face in the media, Cachao has made regular appearances to discuss economic and market developments.

Several current and former UBS staff have joined Jarden's Australian operations, including Nik Burns and Ben Gilbert.
