U Ethical appoints fixed income specialists

U Ethical Investors has appointed two fixed-interest specialists to jointly run its cash and fixed-income portfolios.

Joshua Nappa, the asset manager's fixed income and cash analyst, has been elevated to associate portfolio manager.

U Ethical said the promotion recognises Nappa's strong markets knowledge and proven portfolio management capabilities.

He joined U Ethical almost three years ago from Lonsec and has played a big role in refining U Ethical's cash and fixed-income capabilities.

The new associate spent over three years at the research house and previously held portfolio administration and management roles with private wealth managers Ballieu Holst and Wattle Partners.
He was a portfolio relationship manager at Ballieu and a portfolio administrator at Wattle.

Nappa is joined by Dandan Huang as associate portfolio manager.

The duo will jointly manage U Ethical's cash and fixed-income portfolios.

Huang arrives from Equity Trustees, where she has been managing cash portfolios and supporting the management of credit and mortgage portfolios.

Before landing at Equity Trustees, she spent five years at ICE as a senior fixed-income analyst.

Commenting on the appointments  U Ethical's investment chief, Jon Fernie, commented: "It's a great opportunity to blend Josh's robust market knowledge and product familiarity with Dandan's fresh experience as we continue to develop and refine our fixed-income investment strategies."
