Tribeca appoints Commodities Analyst & Strategist

Tribeca Investment Partners has confirmed the appointment of Guy Keller as a commodities analyst and strategist, effective 21 August 2017.

In this role, based in Sydney, Keller will assist the five person team on commodity pricing and strategy.

Keller has spent the last five and half years heading up the commodities trading business for Macquarie Group in Singapore. He first joined Macquarie in 2002 trading metals and held a variety of roles with the firm in London, Sydney and Singapore, taking on his most recent role in October 2011.

Commenting on his appointment at Tribeca, portfolio manager, Craig Evans, said: "Guy has decades of experience in commodity strategy, trading and hedging. Adding his insights to the team is an added competitive advantage for the fund and our investors. "

He added: "He will work with us on commodity demand and supply analytics and our net commodity biases within the equities portfolio. He will also work with Ben [Cleary] and I on our strategic positioning in commodities directly. We had all worked closely over the years at Macquarie Bank and it will be great to have his full time service for the fund."
