Tribeca Investment Partners has appointed James Eginton as an investment analyst for its Global Natural Resources team, based in the firm's Sydney office, effective January 2017.

He joins Tribeca from Nikko Asset Management where he spent nine years in various roles, including head of the Commodities Group, research analyst and assistant dealer.

Eginton has 10 years' investment experience, taking on a broad range of sector coverage including energy resources, steel and building materials. Prior to his time at Nikko, he was the recipient of the Winter Internship for Equities at JP Morgan Chase, where he worked across six equity divisions including: sales trading, research sales and research.

Commenting on his appointment, Tribeca portfolio manager, Ben Cleary, said: "James brings a broad cross section of sector coverage experience to the role."

Eginton will be joined by Michael Orphanides, who will also take on the role of investment analyst for the Global Natural Resources team.

Cleary says the addition of Orphanides and Eginton further strengthens Tribeca's expertise in global natural resources.

"The entire Tribeca team will benefit from the appointments, and the Smaller Companies Fund, the Alpha Plus Fund and the Global Total Return Fund will also draw on resources and content from this team."
