TCorp appoints Head of Investment Advisory following restructure

NSW Treasury Corporation (TCorp) has confirmed to Industry Moves the internal appointment of Steve McKenna as head of investment advisory, following a restructure of the firm's investments business.

The restructure, which was first announced in May, involved the creation of four new roles in addition to McKenna's: head of exposure management, which has been filled by Patrick Fanning, former senior manager of fund operations and implementation; as well as head of portfolio construction, head of partner selection and GM technology, which are still to be filled.

McKenna was previously TCorp's head of investment strategy and asset allocation and, before that, general manager of investment and client strategy. He joined TCorp in June 2015 from his role as chief investment officer at WorkCover NSW following the amalgamation of the three New South Wales State funds: The Safety, Return to Work and Support Division (SRWSD), SAS Trustee Corporation (STC) and NSW Treasury Corporation (TCorp).

A spokesperson for TCorp said that the new investment team structure will be "launched [this] week."
