Tax insurance specialist joins WTW

Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has appointed tax insurance specialist Michelle Chua as associate director of tax and investment structuring in its mergers and acquisitions business.

A spokesperson for the organisation says Chua's appointment and the business' expansion in the tax liability insurance consulting are due to strong demand in the area. "This is a growing area of our business not only throughout Australasia but also the UK, Europe and North America" said Steven Torresan, director of mergers and acquisitions in the organisations' FINEX division. "Our Australasian tax liability work has seen an almost 200% increase year on year."

Chua joins WTW from EY, where she spent the bulk of her career starting as a senior consultant in 2012. She moved into business tax advisory in 2015 and became senior manager of transactions tax in 2019.
