Tasplan names strategy chief for merger

Ningning Lyons will continue on in a modified c-suite role when the fund's merger with MTAA Super completes in 2021.

She will become the chief strategy officer, while MTAA's Grace Angeles will become chief financial officer. Tasplan's previous executive manager of strategy, Keryn Welch, will depart the organisation.

Lyons joined Tasplan from RBF when the two funds merged in 2016. She was the acting CFO for nearly two years and previously held taxation and accounting roles in the fund.

Tasplan chair Naomi Edwards said, "To date, the merger process has been very smooth, and we want to keep it that way. So, having our C- Suite structure in place early is critical. I'm very excited about the team we have put together and I have no doubt they will help us build a fund that our members can be proud of."
