Talaria Asset Management has appointed Lance Oliver to the newly created role of head of sales.
Oliver joins from Challenger, where he held a number of business development roles for over 13 years, including leading its national distribution team.
His experience also includes distribution roles with Perpetual Asset Management and ownership of an independent private wealth advisory firm.
Oliver's appointment follows the hiring of Sam Dowling as sales director for New South Wales and Western Australia in June this year.
Talaria chief executive Jamie Mead says the recruit brings invaluable knowledge and experience to the team.
"With over two decades of experience spanning funds management and retirement income strategy distribution, Lance will be a huge asset to the Talaria team," he said.
Mead added that Talaria's Global Equity Fund continues to perform strongly even in the face of an uncertain outlook, with a total return during the 12 months to October of 11.80 per cent, a more than 16 per cent outperformance over the MSCI World ex Aust benchmark.
"We have created significant growth across a broad range of investors over the last year, highlighting the value of our unique and alternative approach to global equity investing at a time when it is most needed."
