Suncorp has confirmed to Industry Moves the resignation of Mark Reinke, advisor to the CEO, effective 1 June 2018.

According to a statement from the firm, Reinke is leaving to pursue new executive and board opportunities.

Reinke moved into an advisory role with Suncorp in October last year, as the firm streamlined its senior leadership team after combining the group's customer platforms, customer experience and strategic innovation capabilities into a single function. Prior to this, he was the chief customer experience officer.

Reinke first joined Suncorp in 2004 as manager of brand planning and communications, and has been a member of the senior leadership team for the past eight years. Prior to this, he held roles with Telstra and BHP Steel.

Commenting on his departure, Suncorp's CEO and managing director, Michael Cameron, said: "Mark has made a significant contribution to Suncorp over almost 14 years...he has played a pivotal role in growing the group's brands, improving customer experience and embedding a strong customer culture. Mark led Suncorp's data strategy, establishing a single data warehouse and creating the Chief Data Office, which paved the way for Suncorp's digital transformation."

He added: "I would like to acknowledge and thank Mark for his leadership and contribution to Suncorp, and wish him all the best with his future endeavours."

Reinke's role will not be replaced.
