Suncorp has announced that it is streamlining its senior leadership team after combining the group's customer platforms, customer experience and strategic innovation functions into a single function, customer marketplace, with chief customer experience officer, Mark Reinke, moving into an advisory role, effective October 2017.

Reinke has over 25 years' experience in senior customer, digital, marketing, product, distribution and strategy roles across financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing and packaging industries.

He first joined Suncorp in 2004 and became GM group marketing in 2005. Since then he has held the roles of executive general manager, group executive marketing and, most recently, chief customer experience officer. Prior to joining Suncorp, he held roles with Telstra and BHP Group.

Commenting on the changes, Suncorp's CEO and managing director, Michael Cameron, said: "Over the past 12 months, we have embedded a new strategy and operating model. A more streamlined senior team will deliver the strategy more efficiently and effectively. We have brought together our customer-facing and innovation teams to fast track the delivery of our market commitments, and to create more value for our customers."
