Strong growth prompts WealthO2 to create new BDM role

Greg Schapkaitz has joined WealthO2 from Lonsec Group.

WealthO2 co-founder and managing director Shannon Bernasconi says Schapkaitz' appointment comes after strong growth in the business. "In each year for the past two years some 25 per cent of financial advisers have either left the industry or changed licensee. During this time, WealthO2's growth has been in the most part through referral.

Schapkaitz was most recently a senior BDM at Lonsec. He has also been a consultant, and held sales and admin roles with AMP and SuperConcepts.

There have been several recent appointments by the financial advice software provider, including Gillian Gilmore as WealthO2 academy practice lead and Simon Moore as product and portfolio analysis.
