First Sentier unit hires APAC distrib lead

The asset manager has appointed Elizabeth Trinh as head of institutional distribution in APAC to build on the firm's presence in Sydney and Singapore.

In response to the growing institutional demand for sustainability focused investment solutions in the region, Trinh will drive institutional client strategy for the region.

She joins from American Century Investments, where she spent nearly 14 years in a number of leadership roles across Asia Pacific.

Initially head of Australia and New Zealand,  Trinh most recently ran the Hong Kong and South East Asia business.

Trinh has been with American Century since 2010, joining from Macquarie Group, where she was an associate manager.

Before that she worked at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and as a tax consultant at KPMG.

In the new role, rinh will report to Hugh O'Neill, business head of Stewart Investors in Singapore.

Stewart investors is one of First Sentier's independently-branded investment teams.

It is an active, long-only equity manager focused on sustainable investing.
