State Street promotes head of SPDR ETF

State Street Global Advisors has promoted Meaghan Victor to Head of SPDR ETF Asia Pacific. She previously looked after Australia and Singapore. The change extends her reach into the markets in Hong Kong and Japan. She will continue to be based in Sydney.

Global SPDR ETF head, Rory Tobin, raved about Victor's work in a short time with the business. "In less than three years, Meaghan has successfully launched four ETF Model Portfolios to the Australian market and almost doubled the size of the SPDR team," he said.

"Meaghan's ETF expertise will be welcomed by the Hong Kong and Japanese markets, where growth in ETFs has outpaced other key regional areas. Institutional investors in Hong Kong and Japan are particularly drawn to ETFs to help them manage risk and provide liquidity to their holdings," said Tobin.

Victor joined State Street in 2017 and has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.
