SSGA's Head of Managed Fund Sales promoted to OS role

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) has confirmed to Industry Moves that its head of managed fund sales in Australia, Amy Johnston, is relocating to the firm's Boston office in January 2018 to lead a sales team across the Americas servicing corporates, endowments and foundations.

Syvanna Croyden, SSGA's sales manager for QLD and NSW, has been named as her successor.

Johnston joined SSGA in August 2012 from Goldman Sachs Asset Management and has led the asset manager's foray into active retail distribution in Australia.

Commenting on her achievements, SSGA's Asia Pacific head, Lochiel Crafter, said: "Over the past five years, Amy has been very successful at identifying gaps in strategies and services in the asset management industry, and aligning the best that we have to offer at SSGA with what is most valued by the wealth management industry, particularly in light of what has been a fast changing and challenging market environment.

He added: Our Australian business today has a strong retail active investment profile and this is a credit to Amy's determination to build a meaningful local footprint that is well-informed by great client relationships."
