SMSFA appoints GM Corporate Development

The SMSF Association has appointed Craig Jameson as general manager corporate development, based in Sydney.

Jameson previously held senior executive roles and board positions in the SMSF divisions of AMP and ANZ, as well as roles at ING Australia, the Belle Property Group, and Tower Group.

In a statement, SMSF Association MD & CEO Andrea Slattery said: "A lawyer by profession, Craig made the decision early in his professional career to go into financial services, and the Association is now set to benefit from his accumulated knowledge and experience over many years."

She added: "At this important junction of the Association's evolution as we continue to expand our membership into the trustee market, Craig will have an important role to play in this program, while his main focus will be on our professional members."

Commenting on his appointment, Jameson said: "Over the years I have watched the important role that the Association plays in advocacy, education and improving professional skills across the sector, and to now have the opportunity to be an integral part of this team is an exciting career move."
