SMSF Association Chair to step down

Peter Crump is stepping down as chair of the SMSF Association after two years of service but will retain his position as a director on the board.

Commenting on his time as chair, Crump said: "It has been a rewarding time to be involved in initiatives such as the 2020 Vision strategy, our name change, which has certainly led to far greater public awareness of the Association, and the move to more fully represent trustees."

He added: "It's our vision to allow Australians to take greater control of their own destiny though a sustainable SMSF community."

Andrew Gale will succeed Crump as chair. Vanguard's Robin Bowerman has been appointed deputy chair.
