Former Franklin Templeton executive Matthew Jackson has been appointed head of sales and distribution for Australia at Shaw and Partners.

The investment firm has tasked Jackson with introducing separately managed account portfolios and New Capital investment capabilities to clients encompassing fixed income, equities, multi-asset, and alternatives.

New Capital is the fund and strategy arm of EFG Asset Management and actively manages investment products and services $46 billion for financial intermediaries and institutional investors.

In his new role, Jackson will be responsible for strategy, business development, and investor relations, working closely with the investment and sales teams in Asia, North America, Europe, and Latin America.

Earlier, he worked at Franklin Templeton, Shed Enterprises representing GAM, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, and Westpac Institutional Bank.
