Shaw and Partners has appointed Hatem Matar as its newest private client adviser.
Hatem joins Shaw and Partners from Morgan Stanley where he specialised in derivatives trading and was appointed as the firm's senior derivatives adviser in 2007. Previously, he held the position of private client adviser at Ord Minnett and prior to that, held positions with St George Bank and Leveraged Equities.
Commenting on the appointment, Shaw and Partners' head of wealth management Earl Evans said: "Hatem's experience in derivatives trading will prove invaluable to our other advisers and their clients who are looking to invest in that space."
