SG Hiscock names CEO

Melbourne-based asset management firm SG Hiscock has appointed Giles Croker as chief executive officer and chief operating officer.

Founder and managing director Stephen Hiscock will continue as executive chair and chief investment officer.

Croker joined SG Hiscock 20 years ago and was most recently chief financial officer.

He also served as a co-chief executive officer for part of last year.

Before joining the investment firm, Croker ran a small business consulting service.

For the 12 years to 1998, he was a senior manager at Cooper's & Lybrand.

According to Hiscock, Croker has long been regarded as a natural successor as chief executive.

"He brings extensive financial and business acumen to the table and I'm confident he will continue to lead the business on a positive growth trajectory," he said.

Hiscock established SG Hiscock in 2001 and has held the twin roles of managing director and chair ever since.

All other executive and management positions within the business remain unchanged, according to the firm.
