Schroders promotes investment director for global equities

Avik Roy has been promoted to investment director for global equities at Schroders following the departure of Rupeng Chen.

Roy has been with Schroders for more than five years, starting in a business development role in 2015. He was named research and consultant manager in 2017. "In his new role, Avik will be responsible for communicating investment strategy with clients as well as business management for the QEP (Quantitative Equity Products) team in Australasia and Asia," said a spokesperson for the organisation.

Before joining Schroders, Roy spent several years with Lonsec as an associated in equity research sales.
