Saxo Australian chief moves to BTFG

Ben Smoker, former Australian CEO for Saxo Capital Markets, has announced via Linkedin that he is joining BT Financial Group as director of private wealth services, effective 14 January 2019.

Commenting on his move, Smoker said: "I have decided that it is time for me to take the next step in my career and continue my journey elsewhere. It has been three exciting and educational years at Saxo working with a fantastic local team in a dynamic environment."

He added that, in his new role, he'll be working directly with the Westpac and St. George Private Bank teams and their clients and that he is "very excited about this new opportunity" and "[looks] forward to the next challenge!"
