Roar Software appoints former HUB24 CEO as chair

Roar Software, which rebranded from YTML earlier this year, has appointed Darren Pettiona as chair.

Pettiona said he is excited to join Roar. "The industry needs a fresh approach to technology where advice practices have real choice and freedom to partner with service providers they choose in an integrated environment."

Pettiona was previously the CEO of HUB24 and managing director of COIN Software. He's also been an executive director with investorfirst Ltd and Allied Funds Managment.

Roar CEO Kevin Liao said the appointment demonstrates the organisation's intention to shake up the fintech space. "The appointments add further momentum to our desire to provide a flexible and adaptable tech model for financial advisers while also advancing customer experience."
