Regal Funds Management co-founder steps down from board

Regal Funds Management has announced that co-founder, Andrew King, has stepped down from the board, amid several board changes, effective 23 October 2017.

Commenting on King's departure, executive chair and CIO, Phil King, said: "This represents the final step in Andrew's transition away from the business he co-founded in 2004. I'd like to acknowledge the significant role Andrew has played in building Australia's leading equity hedge fund manager over the past 13 years."

Joining the board are three new independent, non-executive directors - Stephen Parbery, Chris Honey and Ian Gibson - as well as Regal Funds Management CEO, Brendan O'Connor, who joins the board as an executive director.

King added: "While we are sad to see Andrew step down from the board, I'm excited by the calibre of the new directors joining the Regal Board. The Regal Board has the experience, energy and focus required to ensure Regal Funds Management continues to attract, retain and develop the best people to deliver superior returns for our clients and lead the business through its next phase of growth."
