Realindex creates senior portfolio manager role

Systemic equities manager Realindex has appointed Ron Guido to the newly-created role of senior quantitative portfolio manager.

Guido, who holds a PhD in finance and statistics from UNSW, was most recently the head of research for RF Capital. He spent several years as a portfolio manager at BlackRock, and was the chief investment officer at Callisto Asset Management. Guido also spent time with State Street Global Advisers.

Realindex chief executive Andrew Francis said he was delighted to welcome Guido to the team. "He's a highly experienced investment professional who will add significant portfolio management and research skills to the business.

"For over a decade, Ron has worked in the field of systematic equity strategies for some of the largest institutional asset managers in the world."

Realindex was established in 2008 and is owned by First Sentier Investors.
