RBC Investor & Treasury Services (I&TS), part of Royal Bank of Canada, has announced the appointment of David Brown as managing director, head of global client coverage (GCC) Australia, effective 13 November 2017.
In this role, Brown will report to David Travers, managing director, head of I&TS Australia, and will be responsible for leading all sales and client coverage activities in the region, and developing the business to gain further momentum with existing and new clients.
Brown joins RBC I&TS with over 29 years' experience in financial services, predominantly in custody and asset management. The majority of this time was spent at J.P. Morgan where he was most recently, executive director, sales and relationship management, Australia. Brown joined J.P. Morgan in 1997 and has held senior client-facing roles in Australia and Japan.
Commenting on Brown's appointment at RBC I&TS, Travers said: "As we look to grow market share in the region, David's proven track record for developing businesses, coupled with his deep industry experience will significantly bolster our competitive position.
