QMV names COO

QMV has promoted Joanne Schembri to chief operating officer.

Schembri has been with the advisory and consulting organisation since 2013, joining as head of human resources. She became the national manager of people, culture, and brand in 2015.

QMV managing director Mark Vaughan said Schembri has been an integral part of QMV's growth over the last several years. "She is the perfect person to have in the newly created COO role which oversees operations across the QMV group of companies.

"This is an exciting time for QMV, we are growing in capability and size, and entering new markets so we need someone with an instinctive growth mindset who deeply knows our businesses, our people and our values."

Before joining QMV, Schembri spent nearly 10 years with SuperPartners in HR and administration roles. She was also an administration manager with Mercer and Towers Perrin.

Commenting on her new role, Schembri said, "The QMV board have set a bold growth agenda for the business. I made the decision to join QMV knowing this was always part of the long-term vision. I am energised by the expansion of my role and the opportunity to lead the business into its next growth phase."
