Powerwrap appoints COO

Powerwrap has announced the appointment of James Edmonds as chief operating officer, effective February 2018.

Edmonds was most recently the executive director at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, overseeing the group's platforms, a role he left in November 2017. He spent eight years with Morgan Stanley, four of which were spent in the US. Prior to this, he held roles with Invesco, State Street, Deutsche Asset Management and AllianceBernstein.

He also has experience with Praemium and Ausmaq, two of Powerwrap's key technology suppliers.

He is joined at Powerwrap by fellow new executive hires, Wes Gillett as head of sales, and Bruce MacDougall as chief financial officer.
