Portfolio Manager departs Allan Gray

Allan Gray Australia (Allan Gray) has confirmed the departure of portfolio manager, Dan Abeshouse, effective May 2017.

Abeshouse joined the firm as an investment analyst in 2009 and prior to that held roles with Investec Bank Australia, Johnson & Johnson and The Boston Consulting Group.

His portfolio management responsibilities at Allan Gray have been absorbed by managing director and chief investment officer, Simon Mawhinney and portfolio manager and analyst, Suhas Nayak.

Allan Gray has also confirmed the May 2017 departure of analyst, Anna Lopatnikova, after seven years of service, as well as the appointment of two new analysts, Dr. James (Yi-Chan) Lee and Gitendra Pradhananga, effective June 2017.

A spokesperson said that the changes have "given Allan Gray the opportunity to bring more diversity to the investment team."
