Patricia Cross departs Macquarie board

Macquarie Group has announced the departure of independent board director, Patricia Cross, after five years of service.

During her tenure, Cross has served as chair of the board's risk committee and as a member of both the audit and nominating committees.

Cross is also currently the chair of the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation, a director of Aviva plc, and a senior independent director of Aviva Investors Holdings Limited.

Previously, she has held executive roles with Chase Manhattan Bank and Chase Investment Bank, Banque Nationale de Paris and National Australia Bank, and has served on the boards of National Australia Bank Limited, Qantas Airways, Wesfarmers Limited, AMP Limited and Suncorp-Metway Limited.

Her departure from the Macquarie board is effective 26 July 2018, following Macquarie Group's annual general meeting.
