Independent infrastructure manager, Palisade Investment Partners (Palisade), has announced the appointment of Ben Malone as the firm's new general counsel, effective 22 May 2017.

Malone has been on secondment with the Palisade team since January 2017.

In this newly-created role, Malone will be responsible for Palisade's legal affairs and supporting the investment team with transaction execution and investment management.

Previously, he was a senior lawyer at Gilbert + Tobin (G+T), focussed on acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and commercial transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Prior to this, he was a senior associate in the energy and infrastructure team at Allen & Overy in London.

He is joined at Palisade by fellow new-appointee, Vilija Robinson, who will serve as an investment associate with the firm and previously spent four years at NSW Government Health Infrastructure.
