Pacific Current names new Executive Director

Pacific Current Group (Pacific Current), formerly Treasury Group, announced to the ASX on 20 April 2016 the appointment of Tony Robinson as executive director.

The appointment followed the news that CEO, Tim Carver, was moving into a new role as the co-founder and CEO of GQG Partners, a Florida based investment boutique specialising in active equity investments. GQG Partners was launched by Pacific Current through its operating entity, Aurora Trust. effective April 30.

Robinson was formerly a non-executive director at Pacific Current. In the new executive role he will focus on the firm's daily business in its Australia locations, as well as managing Investor Relations.

Robinson has experience across a number of industries including banking, financial services, telecommunications, and transport. Prior to Pacific Current, his executive roles included managing director of IOOF Ltd and OAMPS Limited. He is also a director of two ASX listed entities, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited and OnCard Limited, and holds a number of directorships of private companies, including River Capital Pty Ltd.
