Australian small and mid-cap equities manager, Ophir Asset Management, has announced the appointment of Josh Clark as an investment analyst, effective November 2017.

In this role, Clark will work across both the Ophir Opportunities and Ophir High Conviction strategies alongside senior portfolio managers, Andrew Mitchell and Steven Ng, and portfolio manager, Tim Masters.

Clark joins Ophir from Bennelong Australian Equity Partners, where he spent five months as a senior investment analyst. Prior to this, he was an analyst at Ausbil Investment Management for five years, with the last three years working exclusively for the microcaps team. Prior to joining Ausbil in 2012, he worked as a quantitative analyst at Bell Potter Securities.

Commenting on his appointment at Ophir, Ng said: "We're very excited to welcome Josh to the Ophir team. Given his pedigree in previously working within high performing, small-cap funds management teams, Josh will be an excellent addition to our existing investment capability."

A spokesperson for Bennelong said that at this stage, Clark's role will not be replaced, with other members of the team absorbing his responsibilities.
