Oaktree Capital adds to Sydney team

Oaktree Capital Management has confirmed that Winnie Ramos will join the Sydney team.

Ramos has been appointed senior vice president of marketing and client relations for Australia and New Zealand.

The $US159 billion hedge fund, co-chaired by billionaire Howard Marks established its Sydney office in 2016.

Ramos lands from Fidante, where she was an institutional business development manager.

Before that, she worked at Robeco Asset Management as a client service and sales support manager.

Said Ramos on social media: "Having spent the last few weeks on gardening leave, I've been grateful for the opportunity and learnings at Fidante.
Ramos said she was "recharged and energised" and is looking forward to joining a "fantastic team and building and supporting the Australia business."

Earlier in her career, Ramos worked as an investment operations analyst at Mine Super for 18 months after spending nine years at AMP Capital, most recently as a client account manager.

Previous roles include administration at Platinum Asset Management and Colonial First State.
