New role for Mercer's Diversity and Inclusion Practice Leader

Yolanda Beattie has confirmed to Industry Moves her new role as practice leader - learning & inclusion, as part of Mercer's newly-created learning & inclusion team, effective January 2018.

The new team brings together Mercer's existing diversity & inclusion, and Mercer learning teams, as well as a new strategic alliance with the Pathway to Your Potential program.

Leader of Mercer's career business in the Pacific, Garry Adams, said that the combining of these teams will enable the career business to "better leverage skill sets and to offer a more compelling and comprehensive suite of learning and inclusion solutions to [Mercer's] clients."

"Mercer's Learning & Inclusion practice will help clients build the adaptive, change-ready workforce and inclusive leaders needed to navigate the changing world of work and thrive in a disrupted future."

Beattie joined Mercer as the firm's diversity and inclusion practice leader in February 2016. Prior to this, she held several corporate affairs, communications and marketing roles at firms including Macquarie Group, IAG and Honner Media.

Commenting on her new role, Beattie said: "Our goal is to provide learning programs and inclusion solutions that help people and businesses thrive. Bringing these three teams together gives us scale, and access to fantastic content and capability, which is essential for us to deliver on that goal."
