BlackRock has announced that Dominik Rohe, the firm's Sydney-based Australasian head, has been appointed head of the Latin American region.

Commenting on his service, BlackRock's chair and head of Asia Pacific, Geraldine Buckingham, said: "Dominik has led the business successfully through industry and market transformation over the last three years. He has worked closely with his leadership team to strengthen the local team and broaden relationships with key clients, who have been served with more diverse and technology-led solutions."

Rohe's successor is Andrew Landman, currently BlackRock's Hong Kong-based head of Asia Pacific client business, who will return to Sydney once his client business responsibilities have been transitioned to a successor, BlackRock said.

Rohe previously served as BlackRock's managing director, head of institutional and wealth for the Latin American and Iberia region before taking up the Australasian role in 2016.
