New head for IAG

The Board of Insurance Australia Group Limited (IAG) has announced the appointment of Peter Harmer as managing director and CEO, effective 16 November 2015.

Harmer will replace Mike Wilkins who is retiring as managing director and CEO but will remain in an executive capacity until the end of March next year.

Harmer joined IAG in 2010 and has held a number of executive roles across the organisation, including CEO of IAG Labs.

Harmer said he looks forward to leading IAG during a dynamic and exciting time for the company.
