Global investment manager First Sentier Investors (formerly Colonial First State Global Asset Management) has announced three domestic leadership appointments. The roles are part of the organisation's plan to strengthen the company's operations following their acquisition by Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation in August of this year.
Rob Scott has been appointed chief operating officer. He will be responsible for operations, IT and data, and has more than 25 years of experience in global business operations and IT.
Before joining First Sentier, Scott was head of global operations at Nikko Asset Management in Tokyo and has experience at BNP Paribas Securities and Deutsche Asset Management in the Asia region.
First Sentier Investors Chief Executive Officer Mark Steinberg said the appointments signal the business is establishing stronger foundations to support growth globally. "It is really exciting to welcome such a strong calibre of talent to the business. Each of these appointments will play an integral role in supporting the continued development of our global asset management business," Mr Steinberg said.
