Date: October 2016
Position: Non-Executive Director

UCA Funds Management has appointed Katherine Allchin as a non-executive director.

Allchin has over 25 years' experience in the financial services industry, including both the retail and institutional funds management space. She was previously a managing director at Barclays Global Investors for 11 years and, in 2010, she founded Vinva Investment Management - a boutique Australian and Asian equity funds management business - which she continues her executive responsibilities with today.

Commenting on the appointment, UCA Funds Management chair John Etherington said: "Katherine will be an asset to the board - bringing with her years of experience not only in funds management, but a wealth of knowledge of investment markets, marketing strategy, and risk and compliance. This experience will only strengthen the board and how we support investors."

Allchin's appointment has increased female board representation at UCA Funds Management to more than 30 per cent.

Editor's note: Earlier this year UCA Funds Management announced its commitment to the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors goal to ensure 30 per cent female board representation on ASX 200 listed boards by 2018.
