New CEO for Morgan Stanley Australia

Morgan Stanley Australia has confirmed to Industry Moves that Richard Wagner will step in as the firm's new chief executive officer, following news of long standing CEO, Steven Harker's pending departure.

Wagner joined Morgan Stanley in 2006 and is currently head of investment banking. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he was head of corporate finance at ABN-AMRO.

Wagner is expected to transition into the role of CEO at the end of 2016 and will continue in his current role as head of investment banking.
